The American Public Health Association (APHA)
The American Public Health Association champions the health of all people and all communities. We strengthen the profession of public health, share the latest research and information, promote best practices and advocate for public health issues and policies grounded in research. We are the only organization that combines a 140-plus year perspective, a broad-based member community and the ability to influence federal policy to improve the public’s health.
Division of Community Health (DCH): Making Healthy Living Easier
The Division of Community Health (DCH) is one of nine divisions within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP). We are committed to strengthening community-level health efforts throughout the nation and to helping communities prevent disease and promote healthy living.
The Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH)

The Iowa Public Health Association (IPHA)
The Iowa Public Health Association (IPHA) is the professional association for Iowa's public health community. IPHA's diverse membership is unified by a shared mission and vision.
National Association of Community Health Centers (NACHC)
NACHC works with a network of state health center and primary care organizations to serve health centers by 1. Providing research-based advocacy for health centers and their clients 2. Educating the public about the mission and value of health centers. 3. Providing training and technical assistance to health center staff and boards and 4. Developing alliances with private partners and key stakeholders to foster the delivery of primary health care services to communities in need.
National Association of County and City Health Officials
NACCHO’s members are the 2700 local health departments across the United States. NACCHO’s vision is health, equity, and security for all people in their communities through public health policies and services. NACCHO’s mission is to be a leader, partner, catalyst, and voice for local health departments in order to ensure the conditions that promote health and equity, combat disease, and improve the quality and length of all lives.
