The American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) is the national professional association established to represent the interests and concerns of occupational therapy practitioners and students of occupational therapy and to improve the quality of occupational therapy services.

IOTA is a mem­ber­ship-based orga­ni­za­tion that works to build the capac­i­ty of its mem­bers through edu­ca­tion, research, and com­mu­ni­ca­tion. The IOTA acts as a pub­lic advo­cate for Occu­pa­tion­al Ther­a­py to pro­mote the via­bil­i­ty of the pro­fes­sion and access to services.

WFOT is the official international organization representing the occupational therapy profession. It sets the standard for occupational therapy education internationally and promote excellence in research and practice.

WFOT is a global network of 111 member organizations, representing 633,000 occupational therapists.

This guide represents a collaborative effort between the library and the Office of Multicultural Affairs. The purpose of this guide is to complement and provide additional resources in support of the Diversity Health Series. The Diversity Health Series was developed by Kaiser Permanente and is used as a teaching tool at Des Moines University.
