Audiobooks: Overdrive & Libby

Overdrive provides 24,000+ ebooks and audiobooks to you through the Mobius consortium. Sign in with your SSO and search for "Des Moines University" or "Mobius Consortium" to connect.

The mobile app is called Libby. It is easy to use.

1. What if I use Libby with my public library? Can I use Libby for multiple libraries?
   • Yes! You will just need to link DMU / Mobius to Libby and then you can easily switch between libraries in the Libby app.
2. How do I tell if the book is an ebook or audiobook?
   • Look for the headphones symbol near the title. There will also be a length listed to tell you how long the audiobook is.
3. How long can I check out a book for?
   • The loan time is adaptable. The longest period is 21 days.
4. How do I return an item?
   • Items will return automatically! However, if you would like to return an item early, you can return it from your account page.
5. Are there late fees?
   • Nope! Since items are returned automatically, you will never be charged for late returns.
