Anatomy.TV: Dissection Slides

3D models of human anatomy.

How to Locate Dissection Slides: Option 1

Human cadaver slides are available from the 3D Atlas. To browse available dissections, first select the relevant region of anatomy you wish to study from the 3D Atlas menu.

Next,  on the left side menu select the Slides option. To your right, the menu will show a folder titled Dissection slides.

Slides are context sensitive when you click a structure. You can click on the anatomy to see a label for the structure.

Or, quiz your self on the location of the structure by reviewing the list of visible structures on the slide. When you click on the structure name, the anatomical structure will be highlighted.

You can also download images to create study notes.

How to Locate Dissection Slides: Option 2

Human cadaver slides are available within 3D Real-time.  To browse available dissections, first select the relevant region of anatomy you wish to study from the 3D Real-time menu.  It will take a minute to initialize this section. Please be patient while the content loads.

Next, the Dissections tab should be the first Scene available in the module. 1. Select a Dissection scene from this list.  2. Choose "how deep" you want to view the dissection.  After this second selection, you will see a dissection viewer in the lower left corner that corresponds to a 3D view on the main screen.

If you wish to change or maximize the cadaver view, select from one of the three icons on the Dissection view in the lower left corner. The first on the left is the current view. The middle split screen icon will enlarge the cadaver slide to 50% of the view. The square will show only the cadaver slide, hiding the 3D viewer.
