Logging Into Library Resources

Preceptors authenticate to library resources the same way as other DMU systems and services.   When you access a library resource for the first time, you'll see the same Microsoft sign-in that you already know how to use:

microsoft log in screen

If you already logged into the Pulse or another DMU resource, you probably will go straight to the library resource without logging in again.

If you have two-factor authentication set up, you could be prompted to authenticate with your phone, but again, it’s the same process we use all the other DMU systems.

ITS has examples on how to log in with SSO:

  • Your DMU User ID is the username for your DMU account. Your DMU User ID is automatically created by Information Technology Services using a combination of your first, sometimes middle, and last name or initials.

Need Help @ DMU?

If you are experiencing trouble accessing a Library resource, please let us know! Sometimes we don't know there is a problem unless you report it.

For help or more information, contact the Library. We can assist with basic troubleshooting and verify whether or not there are any known issues with the resource you are trying to access. Help is available in person between Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
