Why Create a Personal Acccount?

In order to take advantage of some of the key features of the platform, like utilizing the flashcards or working with the Case Files,  you need to create a My Access account. This account will work across the AccessMedicine, AccessSurgery, and OMBID McGraw Hill services.

First, access this resource from the library. Next, create an account by clicking on the Des Moines University banner in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Create a MyAccess Account

Or, when you try to access services or resources in the site that are limited to account holders you will see this pop up:

MyAccess Account

Click on "Don't have a MyAccess account?" to create an account. This account is personal - it is not connected to your DMU credentials. Please do not use the password you use to access D2L or other DMU Single-Sign on services.

If you do not see DMU as the institution name does in the upper right hand corner, please contact the Library for help and troubleshooting.

You may also try the online Customer Service provided by McGraw Hill (by email at OnlineCustomer_Service@mcgraw-hill.com or by phone at 1-888-307-5984 [toll-free, U.S. only] or 1-614-759-3663 [outside the U.S.] between 8 AM and 5 PM Eastern Standard Time) to confirm you have the correct username and password.
