An overview of how to access and navigate a course in Visible Body. If you do not have a log in, you can access through the Library course.

Human Anatomy Atlas App

The Human Anatomy Atlas app allows you to manipulate models and virtually explore and dissect anatomical structures. It also contains animations. Your professor might directly link to the content they want you to explore, or you may launch the app yourself and navigate to the Views or Media tabs.

Under the Media tab, you can explore both patient education animations and advanced animations.

Under the Views tab, you can sort through 3D models according to:

Regions: head and neck, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, cervical spine, thoracic spine, lumbar spine, axilla, cubital fossa, hip, knee, foot

or

Systems: skeletal, circulatory, nervous, respiratory, muscular, digestive, urinary, lymphatic, endocrine, reproductive

You can also access:

Gross Anatomy Lab: presents a full body model on a table

Cross Sections: allows you to look at 3D anatomical slices next to corresponding MRI or other imaging views

Microanatomy: eye, ear, tongue, skin, blood vessels, teeth, etc.

Muscle Actions: view agonists and bones in motion
