ILL Text Notification Service

You may choose to opt-in to receive interlibrary loan notifications via text message.

By choosing to opt-in for SMS from the library, you are agreeing to receive timely notices on these topics:

  • ILL borrowed book delivery
  • Electronically delivered articles 
  • Overdue materials
  • Request cancellations
  • Other information about your requests

You may opt-out at any time.

The fine print

  • Message and data rates may apply. Check with your mobile provider for details.
  • The service is optional and does not replace email notices.
  • Your mobile information will not be shared with third parties for marketing/promotional purposes.

How do I sign up for ILL text notifications?

Opt-in to SMS is completely optional and there is no fee associated with this service. You may opt-out at any time by logging into your account and unchecking the boxes for text messages (see images below). Alternatively, you may contact the library for help by emailing library@dmu.edu.

Once you are in your account, look at the menu on the left hand side. Under tools, click on "Change User Information". 

 

 

Next, you will need to add your mobile phone number to your user information as well as check your text notification preferences. Hit submit and you are all set!

 

 

How do I unsubscribe to ILL text message notifications?

To unsubscribe to ILL text notifications, you will need to remove your notification preferences and your mobile phone number from your user profile. You can also remove or change just your notification preferences at any time.
