How To Find Board Review Materials in the Library

Most board preparation materials are available as a print or digital books. 

Please note that relevant materials may be located in many locations in the library: the DMU Book Collection, Board Review, or Reserve. Board Review and Reserve materials are located behind the Circulation desk.

  • Materials in the Board Review collection can be checked out for 24 hours and renewed once online from your patron account in the catalog. You can renew starting 2 hours before the book is due.
  • Materials in the Reserve collection may be checked out for 2 hours.
  • Materials in the DMU Book Collection may be checked out for 2 weeks

Try searching for the series name as a keyword combined with your subject area of interest. For example: “first aid” AND immunology;  pretest AND pharmacology.

Search Tip 2: Board review and other testing materials can be found under different subject keywords in the library catalog

Both print and ebooks are classified under the following subject terms in the Library catalog:

  • Cases

  • Exercises, Problems, Questions

The phrase "board review" is not a subject term in the catalog - but you can search for this phrase as a keyword or phrase.

Search the following keywords in the “any field” or “subject” box combined with the subject area of interest to see what materials are available. For example: examination* AND anatomy ; questions AND physiology ; osteopathic AND questions*

Search Tip 3: Search for the name of the test as a keyword search

For example: COMLEX, “CPH Exam", PANCE, or USMLE.
