Citation management software enables you to create your own personal database of citations and references, allowing you to keep track of your research and then easily incorporate these citations within your research and writing.
It is absolutely imperative that you utilize citation software to assist you with your literature review. There are a number of options available. There are three good free options, but the library officially supports Endnote.
